Challenge

The way people work has undergone significant changes in recent years. Remote work and the rise of mobile devices and digital tools have structurally transformed the way people work, collaborate, and meet. To optimally support these changes and empower employees, KPN has developed a new way of working supported by smart buildings, smart software, and smart communication. The challenge was to enable employees to easily tailor their ideal workday, individually or for their team, without wasting unnecessary time on searching, administrative tasks, redundant work, or inefficient processes. Additionally, the goal was to collect data on how the building is used, identify desired facilities, and optimize the layout and usage based on those insights.

Solution

With Omnimap, KPN realizes its ambition to optimally facilitate employees in their work and seamlessly integrate service providers into daily operations. Omnimap serves as the foundation for an integrated employee and visitor experience, allowing KPN employees to effortlessly plan their ideal workday – from reserving a parking space to finding a suitable workspace or creating an environment to collaborate with their team. Omnimap seamlessly connects all relevant systems and processes of service providers, enabling employees to easily report an issue that is automatically forwarded to the responsible service provider. It also allows for convenient payment of drinks or lunch with a QR code, ensuring that the payment is accurately recorded in the right cost center. Not only do employees benefit, but customers also enjoy an integrated experience, ensuring timely communication of important information and smooth processes such as parking and reception sign-ins.
