WMO - Social support act

Challenge

The Municipality of Amsterdam supports its residents in living independently at home for as long as possible, offering various forms of care and assistance through the Social Support Act (WMO). However, the application and registration process for WMO services, such as household help, transportation solutions, or home modifications, was labor-intensive and complex for municipal employees. With a growing number of applications, it became increasingly difficult to work efficiently and quickly provide the right care.

Solution

To address this challenge, the Municipality of Amsterdam implemented Omnimap. The Omnimap platform has fully automated, streamlined, and modernized the WMO application process. Employees can now easily and quickly register, process, and forward applications from residents to external care providers. With seamless integration into the existing systems of care providers, Omnimap simplifies and optimizes communication and data exchange. Additionally, Omnimap provides quick and clear insights into the application process, empowering users to address issues and implement improvements easily. This reduces the time spent on administrative tasks, allowing employees to focus more on delivering care to residents.
